EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
This document details the specification of the Strategic Data Consolidation function commonly named SDC. The SDC is a system function implemented into the NG-ISS. It gathers the various outputs from weather, traffic and terrain data fusion to dress a consolidated picture of the situation around the aircraft. Based on this situation, SDC identifies the potential future threats along the flight path. Once a threat is detected, it will assist the crew by providing conflict points, no-go zone indications and propose a new flight plan avoiding the detected conflicts. The main objective of the SDC is to assist the crew and to avoid tactical situations.
