EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
This document is composed of three distinct chapters: the report on the integration, verification and validation of the GCAM developments within WP 4 under the terrain/obstacle functions, the white paper on the helicopter terrain/obstacle awareness and the overall conclusion for WP 4.1-4.2. Regarding the GCAM, the functions will then move to integration at THALES, in particular with the displays of WP 5.5 so that the GCAM developments can be validated. The helicopter study will be presented to operationals to collect feedback within WP  5.7.4.

Within the GCAM IVV report, integration described the interface checks that were carried out, verification produced a compliance matrix with regards to the specification published in D 4.1.1. The validation part only contains the plan as the validation task per se will be carried out within WP 5.7.4 when the GCAM is integrated with the FLYSAFE displays.

The helicopter terrain/obstacle awareness white paper address the needs for terrain/obstacle data to comply with helicopter missions, the availability of such data and the recommendations to achieve satisfactory results regarding the helicopter needs.
