WP 3 D 3.2.3 Evaluation Plan for Traffic PTE

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The FLYSAFE Project is concerned with the development of a prototype Next Generation Integrated Surveillance System (“NG-ISS”).  The Traffic functionality of the NG-ISS groups several subsystems with response-times ranging from immediate reaction (safety net functions such as ACAS), through tactical alerting systems (e.g. airport surface movement alerting) to inputs for strategic decision and planning aids.

This document, the “Evaluation Plan for Traffic PTE”, describes the validation exercise of WP 3, the FLYSAFE Traffic Part-Task Evaluation (PTE) in detail. It encompasses the test plan containing the scenarios that will be carried out in the TUD flight simulator and the description of the experiments that will be carried out using selected scenarios.
