WP 6.7 will carry out the final NG ISS “evaluation” at the Full Flight Simulator and the Flight Tests as well as the “assessment of the results”.
The final results should also reveal how well the project objectives have actually been achieved.
This will be done by direct comparison of objectives and achievements inside WP 6.7 where possible, and by indirectly substantiating that major improvements have been made in certain areas. For instance, the flight simulator tests will be used to evaluate the Situation Awareness and the flight safety aspects of the NG ISS, comparing the NG ISS system functions including new cockpit HMI with the baseline set up, by introducing special flight circumstances and flight safety and flight operational situations.
