The Strategic Data Consolidation function, gathers the various data processed by sensors and detection function for a strategic display presentation. The end result of this work package is a software function ready to be implemented into the NG ISS.
The strategic data consolidation function is the heart of the NG ISS. It gathers the various outputs from the weather, the traffic and the terrain functions to provide a global "picture" of the situation around the aircraft.
This function's goal is to reduce the number of alerts ("safety net" related) generated inside the cockpit by anticipating those threats and advising the crew of the situation.
A range of tests will be undertaken to validate the user acceptability of the approaches adopted for strategic data consolidation and resolution, which will be focused on a human factors assessment.

GTD Sistemas de Información, thanks to its background in designing complex systems, will lead this work package and organise the work among partners.
This function being the point of convergence of all data before processing them into a display presentation, many partners are participating.
