This work package aims at developing the tactical alert management function. The end result will be the provision of a software function ready to be integrated into the NG ISS.
The NG ISS mock-up gathers what was previously federated, as such it has to deal with the management of all alerts generated by the "safety net" functions such as TCAS (TA / RA), TAWS, windshear. Beyond the simple prioritisation of the alert, these work package objectives are to look into the issue of successive and consecutive alerts management in an environment sliced into various altitude layers. The task will build upon the results of ISAWARE II. The goal is to harmonise alerts in the cockpit to avoid masked or nuisance alerts.

Galileo Avionica is the leader of this work package, organising the work among the various partners providing alert mechanism to the NG ISS.
