GTD’s activity is centred in the conception, design, development, deployment and maintenance of all kinds of information and control systems. The defence, security and aeronautics businesses generate 22% of the group’s consolidated sales of 10,2 million euro. Embedded software within aircraft and spacecraft computers is one of the most growing activities in GTD where the following domains are covered: avionics, engineering for both civil and military avionics systems, engineering of onboard software, independent verification of critical software, and engineering of electrical ground system environment. GTD has developed within the framework of the EU-IST projects ARC “Airborne Minefield Area Reduction” and DEMAND “Demonstration of Multi-sensor Landmine Detection Techniques” a Multi-Source Data Fusion (MSDF) system that is being applied in an advanced Intelligent Spatial Decision Support System (or Intelligent GIS), in order to assist the human deminer in his job. In FLYSAFE, the company will be mainly involved in Weather Data Fusion, and in the implementation of the Integrated Surveillance System. GTD Sistemas de Información is the leader of WP5.4 (Strategic Data Consolidation). Our strategic goal in IP-FLYSAFE is the consolidation of know-how and R&T best practices in terms of heterogeneous and multi-source data fusion systems. This will contribute to increase the maturity of concepts and technologies for innovating the existing knowledge enabled services portfolio of GTD. Main research topics addressed by GTD both in FLYSAFE and in all these projects are data fusion and knowledge enabled services. |
