SKYSOFT was founded in 1998 as a spin-off from a previous company called RTSN, which performed research and development in the area of CNS/ATM technologies since 1994. The company gained a reputation of providing a valuable contribution to the development of new aircraft communication and navigation systems in this evolving area, and at the same time expanded it capabilities to supply critical business systems to the banking and financial sector.

Currently employing around 60 employees, Skysoft provides system and software services that cover the areas of aeronautical systems, satellite communications and navigation, and ground segments for satellite missions.

Skysoft has two principal operating divisions:
· Aerospace – 70% of business activity – covering high reliability software for aeronautical systems, satellite communication and navigation, and ground segment sectors
· Technical Consulting – covering business critical IT systems for banking and financial sectors, and network management systems for the telecom manufacturers and operators.

Skysoft is a joint stock company (S.A) with a share capital of 871 500 Euros, and its offices are located in the centre of Lisbon. Since its creation in 1998, Skysoft has grown steadily whilst having an excellent client repeat rate as well as continuously establishing new clients and partnerships.

Skysoft currently contributes successfully to the ISAWARE II study on safety, as well as other aircraft European studies and intends to capitalise on it’s knowledge and results and considers the IP FLYSAFE as a major opportunity to further increase and strengthen the company’s capabilities on Weather data link management, traffic hazards and ASAS concepts.
