Deep Blue s.r.l. is a research and consultancy SME with a multidisciplinary team of specialists in human factors, cognitive psychology, interaction design, and software engineering.

The company was created by a group of senior researchers from major Italian Universities and Research Centres. Part of the people working in the company hold a PhD or are PhD students, ensuring a qualified and motivated staff and a constant interest in the research field.

The participation to European research projects is a priority for the company to maintain its state of the art competencies and for its interest in transferring research results in the consultancy activity.

The area of activity of the company is the design, analysis and evaluation of interactive complex systems, with particular experience with systems for process control used in ATM. In particular Deep Blue is strong in the investigation of the quality of interactions, the integration and the allocation of functions between all the components of an interactive complex system, including the human, procedural and equipment ones.

In FLYSAFE, Deep Blue will be mainly involved in the identification and investigation of traffic hazards, in the safety assessment and in the evaluation of the Integrated Surveillance System.

The participation in the FLYSAFE IP will also give Deep Blue the opportunity to exploit the project results during its consultancy activity with its industrial partners. In addition, as a spin-off result, the project may highlight some aspects that the company may decide to further investigate from a research point of view.
