AVTECH was founded in 1988, it is a SME with 12 employees and associates, our HQ is in Stockholm Sweden.

AVTECH has four business areas;

· S2R2 – Structures, implements and audits safety and security systems
· Innovative – Research and Development in collaboration with Industry and Universities
· Consulting – Assisting companies, authorities and organisations to reach their goals
· OPTIMASS – Operational implementation of systems and structures.

AVTECH's expertise is a combination of several years of experience in both airborne and ground segments. In a complex industrial environment, the company facilitates, coordinates and executes key project tasks, works with companies, authorities and organisations in the aviation industry. In the domain of FLYSAFE AVTECH has been involved in projects such as PETAL II, FREER 3 and 4 with Eurocontrol, AFAS, MFF and NUP PII with EC, as well as industry related initiatives with, among others, Rockwell Collins and Smiths Aerospace. AVTECH staffs have been active in various international standardisation committees.

The objective of AVTECH's participation in FLYSAFE is to bring in its airline management expertise and to utilise its experience from other projects and daily operations of operational pilots and the ground side. AVTECH internal objective with the FLYSAFE participation is to expand our network and knowledge in the area.

AVTECH’s role in FLYSAFE will mainly be related to the External Expert Advisory Group (EEAG). AVTECH has and is currently working in this area. AVTECH was, for instance, coordinated and represented the airborne segment views in the EC TACIS project Southern Ring II (SRII). SRII investigated the structure for an improved ATM infrastructure in the region south of Russia. AVTECH is also a Core Team partner providing the expertise on airborne operations and systems in the EC MAEVA project and coordinates and represents the airborne sector in key areas of the EC NUP PII project.
