Nationaal Lucht- en Ruimtevaartlaboratorium
NLR will bring flight operational and human factors know-how and lead the Preliminary System Safety Analysis of the NG ISS concept. NLR has involved in WP1 (Operational Assessment), WP2 (Weather datalink and weather datafusion), WP3 (Traffic Hazards) and WP5 (Display and audio management) Also, being in lead of the WP6 (Evaluation and Result Assessment) NLR will provide the full flight simulator (GRACE) and the ATC simulators (NARSIM-RADAR and NARSIM-Tower) to perform a piloted evaluation of the new concept.[ company details ]

ONERA
ONERA has three major contributions: one on storm information management systems (WP 2.2.4), one in Clear Air Turbulence detection (WP 2.3.2) and one in the NG ISS Intelligent crew support and strategic data consolidation functions.[ company details ]

CNRS
The French CNRS will support, together with their partners in that field for past and present projects the CAT detection functions and their implementation in the NG ISS. THALES collaborates with CNRS (Service d'aéronomie) on DETAC, a French research programme started early 2004 to evaluate the feasibility of airborne atmospheric measurements with a UV LiDAR.[ company details ]

TsAGI
TsAGI has also three areas of contribution in FLYSAFE, based on their internal experience: they will leverage the studies on Risk analysis of en route wake vortex encounters (WP2.1.1), provide terrain database for helicopters applications, and work on their implementation, and contribute to the human machine interface aspects related to these functions.
