Consortium-Expertise
Building up of the FLYSAFE team

The construction of the FLYSAFE team has been made by grouping all actors needed to achieve the goal of the definition of the new generation on-board and ground systems and functions.
As the project aims at designing and developing on-board systems for large aircraft, it groups airframers and systems / equipment and functions suppliers.
As the final objective of the system is to be used by crew, airlines and pilots expressed their deep interest to participate.
As several systems require the support of advanced research people, major national research centres and universities advanced in that area are part of the consortium.
As the weather systems will be developed on the basis of the current status of the weather centres services, and will require the support of those centres, two national weather centres are part of the consortium.
Whenever SMEs have been identified as able to provide specific knowledge, service, or support in a specific area,  they have been invited to join the FLYSAFE team: there are 7 SMEs in FLYSAFE accounting for 11,7% of the Project Total Cost.
Therefore, FLYSAFE groups 36 partners from 14 countries, shared in nine categories.
